Practical Internship Project Controls - Abroad

How you can make your mark

The success of Boskalis is the sum of a unique combination of people, equipment, activities, and the constant drive to innovate. However, success can only be achieved with reliable financial information. So, it will come as no surprise that a complex finance organization is active behind the scenes in international, capital-intensive, listed companies like Boskalis. Your work will contribute to the greatest precision and enthusiasm on the financial report that are used for internal and external purposes. The insights and analyses of you and your co-workers ensure that we are able to make the right decisions. This creates room for investments and for the further expansion of our company.

Boskalis carries out large projects all over the world, from Oman to Brazil, from Mexico to Russia. These projects cannot be realized without reliable financial information. Especially for a capital-intensive and listed company like Boskalis, there is a complex organization behind the finances.

As a Project Controls intern you will, together with your colleagues, take care of an up-to-date and accurate translation of the financial state of affairs. A challenging task! You will assist the project controller on project sites abroad. Together with him/her, you are responsible for the project administration.

Your responsibility as Trainee Project Controller is to assist the Project Manager on all financial matters on a dredging or offshore energy project. This means that you:

  • Will be responsible for project administration and the total financial reporting.
  • Will be involved in tax and contractual matters, treasury and insurance.
  • Interpret the story behind the figures and that your insights and analyses ensure that the right decisions are taken.
